Rochester, NY Fireworks & Festivities Guide!


Happy Independence Day! As we celebrate the 4th of July, we want to extend our warmest wishes for a joyous and safe holiday! Enjoy the festivities with family and friends, and don't miss out on the spectacular fireworks displays around the area.


Here are some of our favorite events to look forward to this 4th of July holiday.


July 3rd Events


Conesus Lake

Every July 3, the residents of Conesus Lake participate in a tradition called the Ring of Fire. Lakeside residents light flares all around the lake and light off fireworks! The festivities typically start at dusk. Visitors can watch from Long Point Park on Rt 256 and Long Point Road.


Farmington

Enjoy the annual fireworks display at the Farmington Town Park, located at 1000 County Road 8. Food vendors and live music begin at 6 pm, while fireworks start after dusk.


Honeoye Lake

The annual “Ring of Fire” and fireworks show can be seen from any location around Honeoye Lake. Sandy Bottom Park will be open for visitors and provides parking.


Irondequoit

Take part in family fun with laser tag, a ball pit, corn hole games, a 10K and Fun Run, and more! The parade begins at 11:00 a.m. from Irondequoit High School to the Town Hall Campus. Food vendors and live entertainment will be available throughout the event! There will be a craft fair from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., and fireworks start around 9:45 p.m.


Sodus Point

The Independence Day Fireworks display in Sodus Point is scheduled for 10:00 p.m. The lawn of the Sodus Bay Lighthouse provides a perfect location to watch the fireworks, which are set off on the Sodus Bay channel pier.



July 4th Events


Brighton

The Brighton 4th of July celebration kicks off with the 8:00 a.m. Brighton 5K at Brighton High School. From 2:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. there will be food trucks, vendors, live music and inflatable fun with Blue Apple Productions. From 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., enjoy entertainment from Elaina Alston; 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Deepak Thettu and Friends; from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Earthtones; and from 8:00 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. The Skycoasters. Fireworks start at 9:50 p.m.!


Brockport

Visit Brockport for a parade, live music, children's games, and cake walk! The event is free and open to the general public. Food and beverages will be for sale, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.


Caledonia, Genesee Country Village and Museum

This year kids 12 and under are FREE! Enjoy hot dogs and hamburgers from the Depot Restaurant while listening to patriotic tunes played from the bandstand on the Great Meadow throughout the day, and learn about how 19th-century Americans may have celebrated Independence Day as you wander through the village, and so much more!


Canandaigua

The 4th of July parade starts at 10:00 a.m. on Main Street at City Hall and travels South to Lakeshore Drive, ending at Booth Street. Announcements and a judges stand are at the Commons Park in Downtown Canandaigua.


Fairport/Perinton

Fairport's 4th of July Weekend Celebration kicks off with the Fleet Feet Fire Cracker 4 Mile at Perinton Park. The parade will follow at 10:00 a.m.


Greece

The Town of Greece celebration will begin at the Town Hall with a 5K in the morning, then continues in late afternoon in the parking lot of the Town Hall with activities for kids and adults, with fireworks at dark!


Henrietta

Begin your day at the Henrietta Senior Center for the annual Craft and Garage Sale, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Music starts at 4:00 p.m., followed by the fireworks display.


City of Rochester

Enjoy fireworks over the Downtown Bridges at 10:00 p.m. The best viewing areas can be found at the Broad Street Bridge and Court Street Bridges.
